We Help Families Become More Fruitful

Each season, we bring together our favorite people, places, products, and practices shaping meaningful homes.

  • Homes designed with loving intention

  • Craftsman you can trust

  • Products made to last

  • Best gathering, playing, and growing practices

Our Story

It started with a simple observation: Homes were becoming more efficient, but less alive.

So we returned to our roots and found the pattern(s) left behind.

We then decided to embark on a mission to help design and build homes more aligned, playful, and growth oriented.

What started as a vision became a publication—
a way to gather and share what is good, true, and lasting in the world of home and garden.

This is what WillowBrick is about. With care, belief, and a little bit of magic “when we create the space, something beautiful takes place.”

~ May we all feel welcome, alive, and fruitful. ~

Core Values

These are our “Fruitful Family Foundations” that guide everything we do.

Family at Heart

The most important work we’ll ever do is within the walls of our own homes.

“We shape our buildings, and afterwards our buildings shape us.” - Winston Churchill

    • We help every client (and prospective client) develop their family values and mission statements.

    • We celebrate family stories and invite all members to be part of the creative process.

    • We share simple, family-friendly resources in our magazine about gardening, home care, or play ideas to help families thrive at home.

Create Space to Take Place

We listen to the child(ren) within.

“The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct.” – Carl Jung

    • We stay light-hearted and open during the design process—making room for creativity and fun.

    • We encourage children to share their ideas, drawings, or dreams about their play rooms.

    • We design for imagination over entertainment — leaving room for the story, the adventure, and the magic to come from the child.

Community Service

Productive generosity is what really builds a prosperous community.

“People will forget what you said, forget what you did, but never forget how you made them feel.”– Maya Angelou

    • We support and collaborate with local makers, growers, and tradespeople.

    • We practice clear, honest, and timely communication.

    • We show appreciation—whether it’s a handwritten thank-you note, a thoughtful gesture on-site, or celebrating a job well done.

    • We donate leftover materials, plants, or time to local community projects when possible.

Stay Grounded

We work with nature, not against it.

“To forget how to dig the earth and to tend the soil is to forget ourselves.”– Mahatma Gandhi

    • We design gardens that encourage families to spend more time outside—whether it’s gathering, playing, or growing food.

    • We encourage families to live with the seasons.

    • We minimize construction waste and recycle materials when possible.

    • We provide simple, practical ways for families to start composting, rainwater harvesting, or seed saving at home.

Craftsmanship

Good work starts with good (oriented) people.

“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.”– Benjamin Franklin

    • We collaborate only with trusted tradespeople and craftsman who take pride in their work and uphold the same quality standards.

    • We conduct site checks at every stage of a project to ensure alignment.

    • We keep families informed on timelines, budgets, and progress with regular check-ins.

    • We avoid trendy, disposable design choices and instead lean into timeless, warm, and practical aesthetics that age beautifully over time.

Our Vision

As the world escalates its attempts to distract our valuable attention, we rediscover our responsibility to put technology in its proper place and allow ourselves to enjoy the gift of life that’s been given us.

As we look into the hopeful future, we see:

  • Families who want to live more intentionally

    • A renewed interest in well-crafted homes and gardens — “a great remembering” of our ability to do more with less.

  • Craftsman who care deeply about their work

    • Designers, builders, growers — all working together to cultivate more meaningful, intentional, and joyful ways of building homes.

  • Communities designed for connection

We hope that this heartfelt endeavor serves as an empowering reminder—encouraging every one to recognize their expanding capacities and the importance of home.
